The special fares are only available for sale at ba.com from now until March 10, 2014 and are valid for travel between February 11 and June 30, 2014. The long travel window enables customers to plan their travels around key Chinese and Western holidays, such as Labour Day, Dragon Boat Festival and Easter.

The latest round of “The Big British Invite” campaign features Patrick Grant, the highly acclaimed fashion designer from Savile Row, as its new British ambassador. Grant invites travellers from China to visit world-famous shopping destinations in Britain, including Knightsbridge in London, Newcastle’s Metro Centre and Edinburgh’s Princes Street.

To make the invitation even more attractive, British Airways and VisitBritain have arranged an array of special retail offers for travellers. By simply presenting their British Airways boarding cards, customers can enjoy a range of exclusive discounts from some of Britain’s biggest retail brands, including Liberty London, Bicester Village and Westfield Shopping Centres, and also take advantage of special offers at landmark attractions, such as The Royal Yacht Britannia, Cardiff Castle and Glengoyne Distillery*.

“Britain is one of the most popular destinations in the world because of its versatile attractions ranging from cultural heritage and sight-seeing to shopping” said Tracy Dedman, British Airways regional general manager, Greater China and the Philippines. “For most Chinese visitors, shopping is a must-do activity in Britain thanks to the incredible variety on offer, whether you’re a connoisseur of fine porcelain, a lover of designer fashions and English tailoring, or an ardent collector of elegant antiques.”

Travis Qian, Country Manager of VisitBritain, China & HK, said, “There has never been a better time to visit Britain. With the simplified visa application process and British Airways’ special offer, Chinese tourists can explore Britain’s rich culture and heritage, see the real “Downton”, Highclere Castle, spoil yourself in the shopping capital of Europe and enjoy the beautiful countryside landscapes.”

The fares under the offer are limited, and customers are encouraged to book early at ba.com where they can also check-in online for their flights.
